What's a budget exactly?

When tackling financial challenges in life, the common advice most folks receive is to "start by making a budget." But what does that even mean? What is a budget, and why don't I have one yet?

Budgeting is best looked at as a process, not single "thing" or destination. It's not a one-dimentional document, it's a process which requires regular check-ins and updates as well as be flexible with changing life circumstances.

However, getting started with your own budgeting process in your life and reaching your financial goals, has never been easier to start.
